Hi! We’re a community seeking to discover (and rediscover) the renewing ways of Christ.
Since our founding in 1989 (does that make us a Millenial!?) our mission has been centered on reaching the campus—specifically, the University of Cincinnati—with the good news of Jesus. We believe that college students need the church, and that the church needs college students. God has charged us with this joy-filled work to prayerfully and proactively share the gospel with our student neighbors, doing whatever we can to nurture, develop, and resource students (and the adults who love them) to take big steps with Jesus.

UCC HAPPENINGS / Spring Semester 2025
Towards the cross:
Holy Week is a set-aside time where believers reflect upon the final days of Jesus' life, culminating in his crucifixion and resurrection. Beginning with Palm Sunday—where we commemorate Jesus' triumphal entry in Jerusalem—and ending on Easter Sunday, this week invites us to go deeper into prayer and worship.
Join us at UCC as follows:
Palm Sunday (April 13th, 2025) – Join us for worship at 9.45am.
Holy Monday (April 14th, 2025) – Be part of Taize Song Night, a contemplative service of singing, silence, and prayer. All are welcome to join for song practice at 6.00pm, with the main program beginning at 7.00pm. More details here.
Good Friday (April 18th, 2025) – Join us at 7.00pm to reflect upon Jesus' crucifixion, death, and burial.
Holy Saturday (April 19th, 2025) – Between noon–4.00pm, the doors of UCC will be open for prayer. If you'd like to join Megan for part of this time, (as one who offers prayer) please reach out.
Easter Sunday (April 20th, 2025) – Celebrate Jesus' resurrection! We'll have a special service for worshippers of all ages (no atrium that day) followed by a time of feasting and fellowship.
Love our teens:
Youth group for middle-school and high-school meets the first Sunday of every month for dinner, games, and spiritual formation. Can you help meet a very practical need by providing a portion of the meal? We could use some help on Sunday, April 6th. Sign-up here and lend a hand! Perhaps you'd like to get involved with our children and/or teen ministry in a more regular way? Send a note to Shannon to connect and learn more.
Onto campus:
Stick around on Sunday, April 13th for our next campus prayer walk. We'll depart from the church building at 11.30am and spend about 45-minutes on campus together. This is a time for us to tune-in closer, and notice how God is already at work amongst our student neighbors. This month, we're going to venture through the TUC and around other coffee shops and restaurants on campus, praying as follows:
That students would have a hunger to meet God.
That students would be spiritually fed during their college years.
That students' physical and material needs be met (in addition to their spiritual ones).
Towards justice:
The next UCC Justice Group meeting will take place after worship on Sunday, April 13th. Come be part of this monthly gathering, where we’ll continue to process and lament what’s unfolding in our nation. Come with passion, compassion, and a heart for prayer. No need to RSVP, but if you have questions about the group, please reach out to Randy and/or Jack:
Randy: randywmurphy@gmail.com
Jack: jackdeckenbach@gmail.com
Develop your prayer habits:
Go deeper in contemplative prayer on Saturday mornings through Saturday, April 12th. Meet Daniel Hickman at Rohs Street for a coffee social at 10.30am followed by a 60-minute prayer practice. Let's learn to attend to God's presence in community and silence. Questions: daniel7hickman@gmail.com
